Prospective Clients

If you’ve never been exposed to therapy, it can seem like an esoteric concept. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The therapeutic process provides insight and self-discovery. You’ll examine how you got here and what makes you the unique and special person you are today. Those are your ROOTS. This will help us to build the resilience and power you need to grow with authenticity. Those are your WINGS. In fact, everything you need is already inside of you. Therapy simply helps you tap into it so you can fly!

The Therapist/Client Relationship

CHEMISTRY MATTERS
The number one predictor of successful therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client. Most therapists offer a free, no-obligation consultation session, so consider it your opportunity to interview them.

A few questions and talking points to consider during your call are listed below.

  1. What is your basic therapeutic approach?

  2. I’ve chosen to seek therapy because _________________. Please share a bit about your experience in this area.

  3. I identify as _____________. Does that have any impact on how we would work together?

  4. What should I expect during our initial sessions?

  5. If we work together, what are the things you’d like me to know before getting started?

  6. How often will we meet and for how long?

  7. How do you suggest that clients evaluate their therapeutic success?

  8. What types of payment options do you offer?

If you determine that Roots & Wings Wellness isn’t the right fit for you, we’ll work hard to refer you to someone who is. Your health and wellness always comes first.

Duration of Therapy

Your therapist will available to you as long as necessary. However, the decision to continue, suspend or end therapy is generally up to you. We’ll give you the tools to fly on your own, but will be here when you need us.
